Series to complete 2022

Series I wish to focus 2022.

The dreamer trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater. The end of the series will be published this fall, not sure when but I will definitely preorder it. This one will be for the second half of the year. No harm in keeping it in mind. It is the second series picking up from the Raven boys Cycle, so I would advise starting with that one. The dreamer trilogy is focused on Ronan and we see the world expand greatly. What you can expect to find here: dreamers, secret government agencies, friendship, and a road of self-discovery for teens.

I think there is no cover reveal for the last book. If there is, well I have not seen it. I am very excited about this release. Definitely is one of my most anticipated for 2022.

The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan.  This is a wonderful story of a chosen one who is reluctant to accept his part to play in the swirls of fate. It has 14 books, I have read 3 so far and planning on getting through one per month. If I keep it in my schedule, then I will be done by December.

  • 4 Shadow rising
  • 5 fires of heaven
  • 6 lord of chaos
  • 7 crown of swords
  • 8 path of draggers
  •  snow prologue to winter's heat
  • 9 winter's heat
  • 10 crossroads of twilight
  • 11 knife of dreams
  • 12 gathering storm
  • 13 towers of midnight
  • 14 a memory of light

Dune by Frank Herbet. A fantasy story that is hard for me to explain. The first few books follow the Atreides family, especially Paul. I have read 2, but the next ones pick up many years after so the main characters are bound to change. My interest is still peaked. There are 8 books in total.

  • Children of dune
  • God emperor of Dune
  • Heretics of Dune
  • Chapterhouse: Dune
  • Sandworms of Dune
  • Road to Dune

Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb. This is a fantasy story focusing on a family who owns a live ship. Ships made from special wood,  if 3 consecutive generations from a family die in the ship it infuses life to the ship. I have read the first two books but I was losing interest during the second one and to top it all, I am not very clear on the details and plot points anymore. I will try to get back into it, so I might reread the first two books before moving on to the last one.

  • Ship of Destiny

The great library by Rachel Cain. In this world, the Great Library is a presence in every major city, governing the flow of knowledge to the masses. Alchemy allows the Library to deliver the content of the greatest works of history instantly—but the personal ownership of books is expressly forbidden. We follow a young man, whose family trades, illegally, in books. He is sent to study to become one of the workers in the Great Library and his loyalties are tested. I have only read the first book so I need to try to catch up to the rest.

  • Paper and fire
  • Ash and quill
  • Smoke and iron
  • Sword and pen

I am sure I can come up with a few more. Some others I have in mind are still not published so I can at least try to catch up to the most recently published work. But I will leave them unmentioned for now. We need to have a few surprises for the near future.
