Where she went
Title: Where She Went
Author: Gayle Forman
264 pages even in digital version it does look like a short book
Genre: YA contemporary
Book Description: It's been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.
Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other.
So I don't think I'm going to like this bok very much, why? Well see the book description, yeah the bold, italics and underlined part? Simple as that.
So this book is told from Adam's perspective. It is refreshing and guess I will give it a go. The relatively short amount of pages makes me believe I can finish this book on the same day as the first one therefore I can finally get the ending I deserve.
Let's hope we get it and not be dissapointed twice on the same day.
I really love happy endings, I don't care about adventurous and realistic endings XD I want my happy ending, this book better have it!!! In the very first pages it gives me a very crappy reality check of what Adam's life became after the events that took place in the first installment of this duology.
Adam is a big time singer now. Doing tours, having a famous partner, giving interviews and coming off as an arrogant selfish Diva singer. Not what I picture as my happy ending for sure, but hopefully the rest of the story makes up for it.... Not everything can be a walk in rose petals even in fictional lives.
Little time stamp.
I had to read the whole thing in fast forward. I have always been a good reader in the way can move my eyes at a fast pace for a while. It took me longer than I had inteded to finish and well yes it did get better. I went from hating Mia to having a strong dislike for her to bland acceptance.
The ending was goo, I finally got it!!!
I needed a real closure and the emotional tran wreck this second installemnt gave me is not one of my favorites. I will not be rereading this book anytime soon but I am happy to have read it. The over all series was good.
I still like way more the first book.... in the way my emotions were not savagely attacked as it was in this one. Kidding I really like this book, even the anger, the frustration about how Mia and Adam were acting towards one another made it all so much better .... yes the ending made it worth it.
I give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Even with all the frsutration and all, it was a very good ending.
