2021 Reading Statistics

  Let's take a look into 2021 in lovely statistics. It might be a boring subject. This in no way is meant to make others feel pressured or compare themselves. Numbers are not the most important thing. Reading happens to be my escape from the real world and due to the current times and my lack of options for the first half of the year that I was not leaving my house at all, well that provided a lot of time I was able to spend reading.  This year was filled with changes and scary situations that had me up and down emotionally. But we can look back in my reading journey and count it as a success.  From these numbers, this represents my goal to have been accomplished in 156%.  From them, 7% were rereads- 23 books. That is a bit below, my goal was 10% but I was very close. Personal challenges for June

So apart from participating in the readathons and book clubs, I have my own challenges; let's take a look. *One of my goals is to try to complete my ongoing series so trying to accomplish that this month we have: -It includes In Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz , Dorothy and the Wizard visit the center of the Earth, where people are vegetables, glass houses grow, and Oz characters reappear. 2022 Reading Goals

  This year held a lot of changes and that was reflected in my online presence. I simply poofed out of existence without a single warning or explanation. I am not going to dive into the past for now. Let's focus on the oncoming year.  Sidenote: This last few months my work has been trying to get us to move forward in those self-help books. One thing that was driven until it landed was the SMART method of setting goals.  So I am going to use that logic while setting up my reading goals for this year. Let's break them down. I mean most are very straightforward. Overall my goal is to read 300 books. From those, the minimum is 250 new reads. The other subcategory includes a few rereads, my ideal plan is to have 1 or 2 per month. In other words, something like 12 (minimum) to 24 (ideal). I have several personal challenges. Finish 12 series. I have the bad habit of starting many series. I lost count of how many I am in the middle of and still plan to continue. So the plan is t...

The omnibus collection is from 2021.  Basic description:  " When he takes a shortcut through a cemetery, Manta Oyamada meets a strange kid with headphones — surrounded by ghosts. The kid is the teenage shaman Yoh Asakura. Tapping the supernatural swordfighting powers of samurai ghost Admidamaru, Yoh fights Bokuto no Ryu, a sword-wielding gang member.
