Physical TBR all unread books starting 2021

I have big plans, big ambitions regarding my books. The downside is that I don't stick to them as much as I would like. But one of the biggest projects right now is to know what is in my library. I want a list of my owned books in every format: traditional, ebook, and audio.

Because I have accidentally bought the same book without realizing it. I am all for buying multiple copies of a book. Sometimes because a version is damaged, I love it so much I want to have it in different formats, to make it easier to read in audio and physical at the same time. It's great when I do it intentionally, but not when I buy them simply because I forgot I already have them.

I do not have enough space to display all of my physical books, worse of all I do not have a very good idea of what ebooks or audiobooks I already have across my devices. The reason for this is my lack of organization.

The obvious solution is to keep track of my books. I have started, so far the list is only for the physical books. In total, I have 540 books.

180 are unread. I will not describe each and every one of them, that will take too long and it will not be very interesting. So here are a few pictures of the books I have sitting in my unread TBR.

My book buying really started in 2017, before that I had acquired 37 books. But then you know I decided to start a book collection and I began buying books when possible.

In 2017 I hauled 97 books. It represented a monumental increase from my all-time 30ish books. From those the ones I have yet to read are:

The book for writer's ideas I'm slowly making my way through, so I will mark that as read and remove it from the list. In other words, only one book left.

In 2018 I started to get a bit overboard and hauled 121 books. The trend continued from there.  The books left unread were 21.

In 2019 the number of books hauled was 129, again we just keep going up. The unread books are 58.

As you can see there are a few classic in beautiful editions but some battered second-hand books as well.

I will admit some of the books here (Marry Poppins, Stormlight Archive, Lord of the rings, his dark materials, the liveship trader trilogy, even Inuyasha vol 12a mong others) I placed in my 2020s TBRs but for some reason or other didn't get to finish them.

In 2020 we have the highest amount of books haul so far with a whopping 155. And 98 of them are still unread.

If you stop to think about it, almost a hundred books. A hundred pictures to take, that's a lot. I should really start reading more of my books to avoid doing so many times at least. I hope this is a good accountability method to push myself to read the books as soon as I acquire them. As you are able to see some books I do get with a  very specific intention as I am doing a few challenges involving them so I really hope to narrow my unread piles a lot in the next few months.

As you are probably able to guess I have a very varied taste in books. I do read a bit of everything so it's kind of hard to keep up, but oh well that happens to the best of us.

That is all for now, let me know if you have any of these books in your TBRs or if you have read any of them.

Stay safe, stay healthy!
