The rest of TBR

So the rest of the month I want to read a few more books. First of all, because there are a few series I want to get through this year so I need to do small steps each month towards that goal.

Carry on from the previous month:

I am still struggling to get through the first book in the Malazan series. I had intended to get through gardens of the moon by Steven Erickson, did I do it? I am intimidated by this book so I have not started. I will not complete it in a single month, so my new goal is to complete it in two months starting in February.

The next series I want to continue the faithful and the fallen by John Gwynne

I have barely started in January it looks full of prophecies and dark times coming. I need to complete the first and jump right into the second so I don't lose the inspiration for it.

The other one I find very intimidating so I have pushed it back, the super long series by Robert Jordan:

The other series I am having to catch up as well as the Spellslinger series by Sebastien de Castell

Looking at the bright side there are also a few series I am up to date but I still need to continue them this month to keep up with my set schedule. I might have or might not have included it here but for most of the series mentioned so far.... I have already set up a schedule for them for the whole year.  I might change a few more changes but I will try to follow it as much as I can.

Series I am up to date and wish to continue them this month:

The 9th installment in the Series of unfortunate events. The only description I have of this is the unnerving ingredients of this story, particularly a confusing map, an ambidextrous person, an unruly crowd, a wooden plank, and Chabo the Wolf Baby.

The other ones I want to get to are the graphic novels, mangas

Walking dead the rest of the Compendium 4 that is at least I want to get to the volumes 27 The whisperer war and 28 a certain doom. If I have the time I might be able to complete it all. Looking back to the huge pile between this TBR and the previous one, it is very unrealistic but I will give it a try.

The next ones are where I am undecided. Should I continue to read them or wait for me to get more volumes before?

Inuyasha feels close. Each volume has quite a bit of episodes each. I do have up to volume 22 so I am ok for a bit, but if I keep reading 2 a month I will run out very soon. Moving on, the plot has not advanced much in the overall story. We still have the same issue,  Naraku managed to hide from our heroes. I see Sesshoumaru in the cover so I expect we might see him join forces with Inuyasha to fight Naraku, I vaguely remember he does at some point.

In the next installment for Hero academia, we continue to see the training in school. I'm afraid a bit as this is the before the last volume I have. I do wonder if I should read the last two physical volumes I own and buy the next ones in eformat. I did see volumes 24 to 26 in Kindle for $125 each, which is a bit more expensive than the panini physical books I have acquired lately. I do wonder why the price is higher in the ebook format. I am not sold on that because of the higher price. I'll continue to ponder on that a bit more.

Well, that is for now. Do you think this is self-sabotage? I did say just a few days ago I tried to have a small TBR so I could complete it to get a sense of accomplishment. It didn't really work, I just kept coming up with other books I should be reading. I mean my main hobby is buying books, searching for new books and making lists of books I want to read. The actual reading is a 2nd or 3rd hobby by now.

See you later guys, stay safe and healthy!
