The Bronze Key
Author: Holly Black & Cassandra Clare
Series: Magisterium #3
Published: August 2016
Book Description (from Good Reads): Students at the Magisterium are supposed to be safe. Under the watchful eyes of the mages, they are taught to use magic to bring order to a chaotic world.
But now the chaos is fighting back. Call, Tamara, and Aaron should be worrying about things like pop quizzes and magic contests. Instead, after the shocking death of one of their classmates, they must track down a sinister killer… and risk their own lives in the process.
As Call, Tamara, and Aaron discover, magic can only be as good as the person who wields it. In evil hands, it has the capacity to do immeasurable harm, unless it is stopped in time.
In this striking third book of Magisterium, bestselling authors Holly Black and Cassandra Clare present us with a school where anything, good or evil, can happen, and the only way to unlock the truth is to risk everything to find it.

Thoughts:
It is more character-based. The writing style is simple and straightforward.
The whole series had Harry Potter vibes, but it was not an issue.
This book was once more full of friendship, testing Call, Tamara, Aaron, and even Jasper face adversities that go from high school dating drama to people who think because of your abilities people are inherently evil.
We have the big revelations of new enemy, it was very apparent who it was going to be, even in the main characters were not seeing it until the person revealed themselves.
The plot starts to move slowly again, I am not sure if the sole purpose was to have the friends tested or to build up drama but it works, it makes the read all that faster because you don't want to put it down.
We have the typical
*Best friends distrust struggles.
*Romance flourishing or is it?
*Someone is coming out to get them, but the why and who are a mystery.
*Big revelations take place and people do not necessarily react the way we would like.
But most of all, there is a revelation that makes you just need to have the next books in the series as soon as possible.
