Thoughts:
It's all full of nonsense. If you do not like black jokes, a few insensitive word choice, a few very funny wordplay here and there.
The jokes go from dad jokes, slightly bad ones, and a few gems. I am not expecting there to be a translation at any time. The main reason is that all of the jokes are based on popular beliefs, pop culture and will only be understood by people who saw the show probably.
Truth be told I missed 50% of the jokes the first time around (maybe more but who is paying attention?) but is funny when passing the book around a group of people and some getting it and some laughing 3 hours later when they finally get it. It is more amusing to see people not getting it than laughing at the jokes the first time.
I rate it because of the fun it brings, the book is designed to be funny and make people have a few laughs. It did!
So this time I managed to finish the book in more time than it should have, it's a fairly quick read. But the main reason was that I was taking my time going from my room to my sister's to laugh about one or another joke. Or to ask to see if she knew what it was about. In some cases, we even spent a few minutes sharing the jokes via text to our other sister or cousin to see who could figure out what we were supposed to laugh about.
This is the end of my 1000 door challenge! It was such a fun ride. If this comes back I am definitely going to participate in it again.
