5 star prediction

So I am taking a look in the books I have in my owned TBR and do a prediction on those I will love. The fantasy I have a lot of faith in The way of kings by Brandon Sanderson. An epic fantasy story people have been hyping it so much that I have big expectations. From the book description, I get nothing other than it is full of magical fights. Children of time by Adrian Tchaikovsky a sci-fi. The last remnants of the human race left a dying Earth, desperate to find a new home among the stars. Following in the footsteps of their ancestors, they discover the greatest treasure of the past age—a world terraformed and prepared for human life. But all is not right in this new Eden. Authors backlist Check in 1

As a personal challenge, I have been reading the books in publication order for Stephen King and Agatha Christie. This is not a new idea, I have seen it happen before for several authors the downside of it is that I picked authors that have a big list of published works.  I have made a plan on the books I will read for 2021 and even then the challenge will not be complete. Next time I pick the authors for this challenge I have to really try to do it when I have the time to invest and get to more than one book a month otherwise it takes forever.  Sidenote: I already plan to start a new author challenge this 2021 so no more until one of the current ones is complete. For Stephen King, I have read 15 of his works published between his debut in 1974 (Carrie) to 1983 (Christine) These are the books I have read last year. I have two books DNF but not in a permanent way as I will have to pick up the Gunslinger if I need to read the continuation of the series.   JANUARY Both seem...

Author: Alexandre Dumas Translator: Peter Washington Genre: Historical Fiction Original publication date: 1844 Book description: Sent to prison on a false accusation in 1815, Edmond Dantes escapes many years later and finds a treasure which he uses to exact his revenge.  There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only comparison of one state with another, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness. Thoughts: So this is a reread but it is the first time I read Dantes's tale in English. I would advise if people who have English as a second language to not begging with this story as their first try. The older style language sed makes it a bit of a slow read, not only that but it has a big page count as well. We follow Dantes as he goes from having his whole life ahead of him in an uphill trend to the very bottom of the hill and be stuck there. 2020 Reading statistics

  The end of the year is my favorite time for several reasons: I overview and check the goals and set new ones.   I surpassed my reading challenge for 2020 (Goal 225). Out of the total books read, 25 were reread that makes it 9%. My goal was 10% in the year so I'm going to round up and give that goal also a check of completed.  My favorite graph to see is the one describing the number of books read per month. The month I read the least was December as I had predicted. This was mostly because I am usually busy with other plans and because by the time December rolled around I was a bit burned out. The last few weeks I had a bit of a struggle to get into a series and instead of DNFing it and picking something up I tried to push through. This was a mistake. In the end, the only thing I accomplished was to get into a reading slump and I read almost nothing afterward.  The month I read the most was August, I am not even sure why.
