Descendants: A Twisted Field Trip
Author: Jen Vaugh
Genre: Graphic Novel
Original Publication date: September 2018
Book Description: After Descendants 2 the students are having a nice relaxing Friday and planning their wonderful free time when the usual gang, Mal, Eve, Jay, Carlos, Chad, King Ben, and fairy godmother's daughter are selected to go to a weekend camp to learn to work together.
Thoughts:
Not sure how to rate graphic novels. The drawings felt too childlike in a way. Might be nothing, they were well-drawn and the colors (it was a full-color novel) were great, but after picturing the characters as living people and then seeing them as cartoons, it seemed out of place.
It was a very short story, not much happened, it felt like a single episode of an ongoing Disney show.
There was really no plot, no high stakes just a nice way to see the characters you already know and spend more time with them.
This was the very last thing I picked up, it ended up being much shorter than expected. But it was a nice way to pick up in the overall amount of books finished in my 24-hour readathon.
Gave this a 3-star rating.
