Books I will not read from the GoodReads Choice Awards 2019

One of my personal challenges this year was to read the runner ups for the GoodReads Choice Awards 2019 for different categories. I choose to read from 16 of the Categories. This choice was mainly because as the preliminary selections came out, I had no time to actually read them before the winners were announced so I didn't even try and just decided to have it as a year-long challenge for 2020.

From the options for the 16 categories, I saw some that I will not even try to complete, here I leave a list of them and maybe a reason for my decision.

*Find me, Andre Aciman I am not going to read the first on CAll me by your name so I will not read this one.
It seems to be a book trying to make you feel negative feelings therefore I will stay clear of it.

*The last widow, Karin Slaughter. This is the 9th book in a series. The Will Trent series takes place in Atlanta and features GBI special agent Will Trent, his partner Faith Mitchell, and Angie Polaski. For now, I will skip this one, if at a later date I have more time I will try to read the first few books.

*The night fire, Michael Connelly another ongoing series, this is the #22 for the Harry Bosch series. Hieronymus Harry Bosch a Los Angeles Police Department detective who retired and became a private investigator for a couple of novels, before returning to LAPD's Open Unsolved Unit, a fictional unit based on LAPD's actual Cold Case Homicide Unit, and later the Robbery Homicide Division (RHD) Homicide Special Unit.

*A better man, Louise Penny this is the #15 in the series Chief Inspector Armand Gamache. Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Sûreté du Québec digs beneath the idyllic surface of village life in Three Pines, finding long-buried secrets-and facing a few of his own ghosts.

*Storm Cursed, Patricia Briggs the #11 Mercy Thompson series.  It is an urban fantasy.  Each book in this series is a whole story with a beginning and an ending, however the plot of each book relies heavily on the prior books in the series. It is recommended that you read the full length novels in the order they were published.
I might get back to the first book and decide if continuing with the series or not.

*The bride test, Helen Hoang this is the companion novel to the kiss quotient. I disliked greatly the first one and decided to give p on the series, it is simply not for me especially since the bride test sound like is using the same formula with just gender swap of the roles. Khai is a young ma who has problems understanding people's feelings and his family wants him to marry and try to find him the perfect wife.

*The wedding party, Jasmine Guillory it is simply not something that catches my mind. Alexa’s wedding rapidly approaching, Maddie and Theo both share bridal party responsibilities that require more interaction with each other than they’re comfortable with. Underneath the sharp barbs they toss at each other is a simmering attraction that won’t fade. It builds until they find themselves sneaking off together to release some tension when Alexa isn’t looking. They shouldn't fall for each other.

*The savior, JR Ward this is the #17 in the black dagger brotherhood a paranormal Romance. But it seems to be very long, I might change my mind and come back to it but for now, I am not interested in Vampire romances.

*Red, White & royal blue, Casey McQuiston a love story between the son of the President of US and the British Prince. I have heard mixed reviews and for now, I don't feel like reading it.

*The flatshare, Beth O'Leary again it is after a few mixed reviews. Tiffy and Leon share a one bedroom apartment after Tiffy ends a relationship and while he has his own issues.

*Dark age, Pierce Brown this is again another ongoing series, this is the #5. But I do intend to start Red rising saga sometime soon.

*Tiamat's wrath, James SA Corey is the #8 in the Expanse series.
