Other books for September TBR

As mentioned before there are a few books I also want to get to for my own personal challenges or set goals.

I am moving forward in the backlist of several authors in publication order so let's start with them.

*Stephen King

As it was not finished in August we have the previous month carrying over to this one Cujo published in 1981 this is the story of a good San Bernard family dog who goes crazy with rabies and the chaos that ensues because of that.

I already begun reading it, and the only down side is that the vocabulary is a bit dated. Maybe I am not enjoying the translation style. I am reading it in Spanish as I mistook the version ordered so, not the best decision on my part. I'll go into details when I review the book.

Published in 1982 The running man published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman.

This tale is about a dystopian world where poor people are no longer considered humans but pests. Ben Richards struggles with his situation, he is desperate seeing his daughter getting worse as time passes and he is willing to overstep boundaries to get the money his family needs.

Sounds intriguing.

*Agatha Christie

Published in 1932 Peril at End House this is the 8th novel in the Hercule Poirot series, so we know we will encounter the Poirot. He is vacationing and runs into an intriguing young woman who has escaped a series of life threatening events which sparks his curiosity.

The second we have in line for this month published in 1933 Lord Edgware Dies the next book in the Hercule Poirot series. In this one out beloved detective Poirot is witness to the moment when young Jane, brags about getting rid of her awful husband. Noe the man dies and the truth must be uncovered.

*Next we have several series I plan on continuing:

The third book in the Series of unfortunate events by Lemony Snicket The miserable mill. So what do I know? not much but the three Baudelaire children are sent to a different distant family member to be their guardian.

Children of ruin by Adrian Tchaikovsky

With reading the synopsis I was so exited so I'll just add it right here.

Thousands of years ago, Earth's terraforming program took to the stars. On the world they called Nod, scientists discovered alien life - but it was their mission to overwrite it with the memory of Earth. Then humanity's great empire fell, and the program's decisions were lost to time.
Aeons later, humanity and its new spider allies detected fragmentary radio signals between the stars. They dispatched an exploration vessel, hoping to find cousins from old Earth.
But those ancient terraformers woke something on Nod better left undisturbed.
And it's been waiting for them.

*I have a few manga series going as well so lets add them to the list

Cardcaptor Sakura by CLAMP volume 7 to 10
This follows the story of 10 year old Sakura who is in charge of capturing the magical Clow cards she accidentally released or else the world is in danger. I am enjoying my read but I am noticing a lot of details I missed as a kid when I watched the anime.

But this is not a place to discussion but for planning, moving on.

Blue Exorcist by Kazue Kato vol 14-16
We continue the group of young Exwaire who are trying to save each other and overcome the treason they just experienced.

This group of people are trying to become Exorcists, but they have a few personal issues come up throughout their studies that throw a lot of problems their way.

Inuyasha vol 2-6 by Rumiko

I can't remember if I read the first two volumes but might need to reread so I can continue. This is the story of Kagome, she is transported to the feudal Japan era where she has the emission of gathering the Shikon Jewel before it lands in the wrong hands.

My Hero Academia volumes 7 to 10 by Kohei Hirokoshi.
The world has evolved 80% of the population has superpowers, so now one of the most prestigious professions is to study to become a Hero. We follow an unlikely one, he was born with no quirk (ability) but there is a secret out there. He gets an ability passed down to him, now he must come to terms with it and become the greatest hero of all time!

Walking dead volume 17-18 by Robert Kirkman
This is a well-known series about the end of the world due to the zombie apocalypse, now a group of people fight in order to survive and maybe reestablish human society.

So once more I have a very big unrealistic TBR.
This is not even including some of the books I have missing from August's list, so I guess we'll roll with this. I wonder how this month will go.

Wish me luck!!
