Book Description (from Good Reads):
Rev Fletcher is battling the demons of his past. But with loving adoptive parents by his side, he’s managed to keep them at bay...until he gets a letter from his abusive father and the trauma of his childhood comes hurtling back.
Emma Blue spends her time perfecting the computer game she built from scratch, rather than facing her parents’ crumbling marriage. She can solve any problem with the right code, but when an online troll’s harassment escalates, she’s truly afraid.
When Rev and Emma meet, they both long to lift the burden of their secrets and bond instantly over their shared turmoil. But when their situations turn dangerous, their trust in each other will be tested in ways they never expected. This must-read story will once again have readers falling for Brigid Kemmerer’s emotional storytelling.
Opinion:
- Characters: 8.5
- Rev is an amazing person, who faced struggles far too great and yet overcame them. Even though he has all that in his past he is still worries about the way he looks he is still shy about girls, he so lovely.
- Seeing our lovely couple, Jullie and Dec, oh seeing them again it's very nice.
- Emma, she's nice but annoying selfish. But ok overall.
- Intention 10.0
- Very powerful message. Delivered, completely blew my mind. Danger lingers everwhere hiding sometimes even in the face of people we trust.
- Plot 9.5
- Can hardly complain.
- Writing Style 9.5 love it, easy to read or maybe it was the gripping story that made me devour it.
- Intrigue 10.0
- Couldn't put it down. Even if it was too much drama, I still enjoyed it too much.
- Logic 9.5
- Did not like the decisions they made but it really made sense. When people are going through difficult times it is hard to see what the right choice is and taking the sensible and logical decision is not always as easy. The issues presented and the way people acted, while I d not like the way things escalated because being teens they refused to immediately ask for help, I do see that it does fit the profile of someone in a tough situation... Emotions do cloud the better judgment and make turning for help even from family or friends very difficult.
- Enjoyment 10.0
- I did love it, the situations were not to my liking and made me a bit uncomfortable but I thoroughly enjoyed my time in this story.

- Book by Bridig Kemmerer it was supposed to be letters to the lost but I just finished that so I thought it'd be great to read the follow-up. I actually liked this one better than letters to the lost!!
