Author: Jorge Alberto Perez  Genre: Short story collection Original publication date: September 30, 2018 Book description (from Good Reads): it plays with the multiple facets of memories, fast forwarding and slowing down the clock in them altering them in a very unique way.  Thouhts: We see him explore several nonconventional storytelling. It is very refreshing and even if each story has a different style, they don't feel jarring. Also, it weaves in music some of the pieces are original work and you can find the lyrics and music score as well. 2021 Reading Statistics

  Let's take a look into 2021 in lovely statistics. It might be a boring subject. This in no way is meant to make others feel pressured or compare themselves. Numbers are not the most important thing. Reading happens to be my escape from the real world and due to the current times and my lack of options for the first half of the year that I was not leaving my house at all, well that provided a lot of time I was able to spend reading.  This year was filled with changes and scary situations that had me up and down emotionally. But we can look back in my reading journey and count it as a success.  From these numbers, this represents my goal to have been accomplished in 156%.  From them, 7% were rereads- 23 books. That is a bit below, my goal was 10% but I was very close. My next year's goal is set up differently I will use a number as the goal instead of a percent, I see it more achievable.  The formats are a bit more even, not bad really. Worst Books of 2019

There are like in everything things you like and then things you do not. In books, I really try to enjoy myself I mean we read for pleasure and to get away from stressful or busy lifestyles so when a book, story or whatnot disappoints you. I had a very good reading year so I do not have that many books to mention here, let's get to it.  Starting from the order that I read it. Algedonic, R.H. Sin. This is a poetry book, it is not my style. I read other of the author's work, but I do not feel connected at all. The poems sound just generic and repetitive, so I will be giving up on the author.  Timecaster, Joe Kimball, this is a sci-fi duology about a very interesting premise but the execution leave a lot to be desired. I already spoke about this duology, so I will not spend too much time in it. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

Author: Mark Twain Genre: Classics, Historical Fiction Original publication date: 1875 Book Description: a  novel about a young boy growing up along the Mississippi River. It is set in the 1840s in the fictional town of St. Petersburg, inspired by Hannibal, Missouri, where Twain lived as a boy. In the novel, Tom Sawyer has several adventures, often with his friend, Huckleberry Finn. Thoughts: It is interesting and not at the same time. There is a lot of meandering here, the beginning looks like a simple everyday retelling of a boy and his little worries and schoolboy games. But then it becomes apparent there is a little plot going on the background, but it felt like it had too many things thrown in that were not as necessary. It had a lot of mentions of his "worries". It is hard to classify. It is interesting but still as many classic pieces of literature it feels a bit long. But it is still an enjoyable read.
