Book description:
"There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark's Eve. Either you're his true love. . . or you killed him."Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little. For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

Again not the most professional book review and clearly not even close to objective. But I just love the story. The second time around I love it even more. It is because I already know the characters and feel for them great appreciation. In this case having a tight group of friends, making room for one more, the not so typical love triangle you know its coming and yet because you know how it does evolve and not become a traditional love triangle like in most books makes you able to start to like it even before its fully formed.
So not a complete spoiler but there are love triangles in this story. Yes, triangles as in plural but you don't realize until much later in the story. I can totally accept stories with this kind of triangles. Yet the main focus of the story is not even close to being Romance, the book description does give you a very interesting intro letting you believe that love is a big thing here; after all Blue's true love will die after she kisses him. No in book one there is not enough for you to call romance, there are hints of people falling for one another, there are very slow moving thoughts towards a relationship between Blue and one of her Raven Boys but nothing develops, in this book mainly a friendship is forged between the boys and Blue.

Favorite Character so far ADAM. For no other reason than because. He is a very determined guy, very diligent, very dedicated and smart, his biggest flaw PRIDE he doesn't like to owe anyone anything.
