1-30 Mytothon Greek mythology-themed readathon.
Rules one book per square
Prompts.
The board above shows you how the prompts are laid out. It’s entirely up to you how you decide to tackle them. I have another version of the board with text only for reading clarity and easier printing available here, a version with just the symbols which you can fill with titles here, and a downloadable Word Doc checklist MYTHOTHON PROMPTS, for those who’d prefer to work in a more linear fashion.
To be clear, the books you choose DO NOT need to be mythology related to count, they just need to fit the prompt.

The AtoZReathon is a very interesting concept. The goal is to include the whole alphabet in the TBR
Way one is to pick the title or Author and use that in order to have all the letters of the alphabet contained within it. Way two is to pick the author or book but each first letter to represent a letter so you will have 26 books to read.
I shall pick the very first way the easy prompt.
So by the author here they are
- Kennet Grahame, The wind in the willows
- N.R. Walker, Learning to feel
- Amanda Lovelace, The witch doesn't burn in this one
- Maxine Paetro and James Patterson 7th heaven
- Leigh Bardugo, Seige and Storm
- Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Americanah
- Jay Kristoff and Amy Kaufman, Obsidio
- Ernesto Quiñonez, El vendedor de sueños
- J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
In summary, I managed to accomplish almost both challenges the one to have the book title cover the whole alphabet
Accomplished using book title |
If I see it by book title I have some missing though that's why my official challenge is to accomplish them by authors name.
Alphabet crossed out using the author names |

Gemina, Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff 659 pages
Obsidio, Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff 612 pages
The readathons I am definitely not doing are
- Remember November. Why because it's about looking back at goals and previous challenges that you did not accomplish and try to get them done. I will begin new challenges, so there really won't be time for me to try this one at all.
- Manga Readathon I will simply not participate because I own no manga at all that I am planning on reading this month.
- BorrowAThon is a week-long readathon that encourages you to borrow books which I will not do. So I rather not even attempt to fit an extra book there because I will not have to go and get it or look for someone to lend me books.
- HoHoHo Readathon this is a winter themed readathon and I really don't have that many books set in winter in my current pile, fitting one more will be hard. So if I stretch from the ones we currently have then I guess I will pick Someone to watch over me, Judith McNaught and I think that's the only one, so no. Better not try I have nothing for this one at all.
- Thanks a thon again I don't have books that can cover this challenges as well and I will not have time to read five more books this month so no.
- Create your own readathon, yeah well I could try because I definitely have tons of books that can be made to fit in tons of categories/challenges but at the moment I have no imagination or wish to try so maybe later.
- Christmas spirit, yeah nothing Christmasy yet. Not even going to try it.
