All My Friends Are Dead

And: All My Friends Are Still Dead (#2)
Author: Avery Monsen and Jory John
Genre: Graphic Novel, Humor
Book Descriptions: If you're a dinosaur, all of your friends are dead. If you're a pirate, all of your friends have scurvy. If you're a tree, all of your friends are end tables. Each page of this laugh-out-loud illustrated humor book showcases the downside of being everything from a clown to a cassette tape to a zombie. Cute and dark all at once, this hilarious children's book for adults teaches valuable lessons about life while exploring each cartoon character's unique grievance and wide-eyed predicament.

Thoughts:

This was a fun read in a way. It is easy to get through and its a nice way to unwind after a stressful day. It is not a laughing and rolling in the floor, but it makes you smile in the attempts here.

I gave this a 3-star rating to each.

Can't say that I read a lot of humorous books so have very little to compare with. But well this is a graphic novel with no characters really, no plot and only a picture with a witty sentence and you found funny because well yeah the way everyone's friends are something made you smile throughout the whole reading.

It is a nice easy read.
Though I am considering just marking them as read in Good Reads and maybe not placing the date on them, not sure if counting them as my reading challenge for this year.
I do not usually read graphic novels and I am not a very good person to appreciate or evaluate art or drawings or anything but it was a good fit for the semblance of the novel. It was so cartoon-like almost like I imagine the style for comics type Garfield and other cartoon strips and because of the intent for humor, I found it very fitting.
