1. Best Book You Read In 2018?
The Martian by Andy Weir
2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War y Max Brooks. The premise sounded great but in the end, I was let down hugely. It ended being just an ok story.

3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read? 

The grownup, by Gillian Flyn, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Even if it was a very short story and had an open ending, two things that in thrillers annoy me, this made it work perfectly.

4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did)?
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. I just loved this series and wanted more people to read it, I have been pestering my sisters and friends to read it.

5. Best series you started in 2018? Best Sequel of 2018? Best Series Ender of 2018?
The best series I started and finished this year was definitely The Raven Cycle.

The best sequel of 2018 in enjoyment level was Thunderhead. The story is definitely getting better.


6. Favorite new author you discovered in 2018?
Leigh Bardugo, I had not read anything by her until this year and I loved her series in the Grisha universe.

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?
And Each Morning The Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrick Backman

8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?
The Black Prism by Brent Weeks

The Rook by Daniel O'Malley. It was so much better than anticipated.

Half Lost by Sally Green, oh that ending

29. Most Unique Book You Read In 2018?
You by Caroline Kelps especially if you have the audio, the way its written it gives it a different feel to the whole story.

And if format wise: Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kauffman because as many of you know it told from copĂ­lation of emails, video footage, interviews... This is the first book I read that includes this kind of format to tell the story.
