Aditional books to read
So Extra here because I am not sure where else to include it.
I need to finish my collection of complete works from classic authors.
So for January, I will read 1 story per day. I really want to try to do this for the first few months and see if I can get through the collections this year!
There is again the Good Reads Choice awards challenge and this year I will read as mentioned before the winner or runners up depending on the category. For January I will do mainly two sections:
-Fiction:
The testaments, Margaret Atwood. This is the continuation of the handmaid's tale, even if that one was not my favorite we will see what this one holds XD
-Mystery / Thriller:
The silent patient, Alex Michaelides. A story of a woman who killed her husband by stabbing 5 times for no apparent reason, who refuses to speak and the journey of a dr trying to get her to tell the truth. Not much else needs to be said, I really want to get to it.
If possible maybe the historical fiction runner up in second place:
The huntress, Kate Quinn. Bold and fearless, Nina Markova always dreamed of flying. When the Nazis attack the Soviet Union, she risks everything to join the legendary Night Witches, an all-female night bomber regiment wreaking havoc on the invading Germans. When she is stranded behind enemy lines, Nina becomes the prey of a lethal Nazi murderess known as the Huntress, and only Nina’s bravery and cunning will keep her alive.
No idea what to expect if greatness or not.
As part of the other challenges for my yearly resolution:
Graphic novels I'm likely to pick up are:
Blue exorcist vol. 8, Kazue Kato
Rereads:
The rook, Daniel O'Malley
A secret organization, people with powers no other has and fighting against evil that no one thanks. But something in the background is targeting those protectors, what will happen?
Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Lainy Taylor.
Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real, she’s prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands", she speaks many languages - not all of them human - and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she’s about to find out.
When beautiful, haunted Akiva fixes fiery eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?
