The Childhood book tag

Not sure who created it but I saw it in one of Lals's videos, where she answered it with her son and I really liked the idea. So let's try it!
Original Video where I saw it here.

First to introduce myself. My name is Sonia and I am 28 years old.

1) Is there a book that you didn’t like the first time, but ended up enjoying during a second read?
This one would have to be the goosebumps series. I read some of them as a child and some I did not like at all other were ok, but as a teen, I reread some of them and enjoyed it more.

2) Do you still have any books from your childhood? If so what are they, and if not, do you wish you’d kept any of them?
I do not have the books I originally read as a child other than some Harry Potter, some of the original HP books I got as a kid, were lost and I am just rebuying them.
I used to not buy books, maybe the only volumes I have from childhood are Queen's Knight vol 1-4 and Fruits basket volume 1; These are Manga I started to read but never continued.

3) Were there popular books or book series you never read or got into as a kid?
I never read the babysitter's club, not Narnia or Percy Jackson and the lightning thief when I was growing up. I did start the Percy Jackson series recently and Narnia also I read last year, so I am catching up.

4) What did you mostly read: fiction, nonfiction, comics, or manga? Has that changed as you’ve gotten older?
I used to read a lot of fiction and manga. I was very into Japanese anime so that helped me get into manga as well.

5) What were some of the popular books when you were a child in your country?
Not sure really, other than the mentioned above, Percy Jackson and the lightning thief, Narnia, Dr. Seus which I really never read as a kid either.

6) Do you have any reading habits you’ve carried into your teenage/adult life? (e.g. mouthing the words, reading one or multiple books at a time, dog earring a book, reading without music, etc.)
I do not have a specific way to read. I continue to use anything available as a page marker, usually scraps of paper, or leave the book upside down on the place I am currently reading.
But I have changed my habits, now I listen to many audiobooks, before I thought I could never get into audios, also I read with or without music, so not a fixed preference in many other things.

7) How would you decide what to read? For example, did you choose a book based on the cover, the synopsis, or both?
I have a bit of cover and description thing. Younger, I used to pick what to read based on the title and cover, the description is always the last thing I see, funny how that continues to be like that. The difference now is that with booktube I know what some books are about if I see blogs or people's reviews even before I know certain books exist.

8) Where would you normally get books from? (i.e. library, yard sales, secondhand book stores, etc.)
When I was a kid I used to get everything from the public library or school library, my parents were not into reading much and even if we were books were not something we could permit ourselves so they just made sure to take us(my two younger sisters and me) to the library when possible so we could check out books to take home.
Now though, I read mainly books I buy either new or in the used book store and digital or audios from Scribd or Kindle.
