Worst Books of 2019

There are like in everything things you like and then things you do not. In books, I really try to enjoy myself I mean we read for pleasure and to get away from stressful or busy lifestyles so when a book, story or whatnot disappoints you.

I had a very good reading year so I do not have that many books to mention here, let's get to it.

Starting from the order that I read it.

Algedonic, R.H. Sin. This is a poetry book, it is not my style. I read other of the author's work, but I do not feel connected at all. The poems sound just generic and repetitive, so I will be giving up on the author.

Timecaster, Joe Kimball, this is a sci-fi duology about a very interesting premise but the execution leave a lot to be desired. I already spoke about this duology, so I will not spend too much time in it. Too much unnecessary sexual content and the characters are not good enough to pull me in and overlook the writing style that I do not like.

All my friends are superheroes, Andrew Kaufman. This is a humoristic version of a man who knows people who have the most bizarre and useless superpowers. I hate this type of comedy!

The one book I hated beyond measure that I can't recall for sure what it was about other than I wanted to give it Zero stars was the Anti-Christ, Friedrich Nietzche.

A short story collection: Her body and other parties by Carmen Maria Machado, this just could not keep my interest.  Maybe one or two of the stories were ok, but mostly I could not connect to the characters, kept getting confused by what was going on or what it really meant by the overly complex similies. It was probably something that went over my head. But I will not read it again.

A mystery/thriller that was extremely bad or at least bad for me was the society, Michael Palmer. My sister gifted me this for no other reason than because it was a book, it looked interesting and I did want to read more mystery books so this sounded a great opportunity. Bad idea!
I can't really remember what happens but the entire story I could not get into the characters. It starts with a serial killer, means and purpose unknown then there is always someone the police want to blame, powerful enemies, it was promising but it was not for me.

The Kiss Quotient, Helen Hoang
The romance here was awful! There has to be a ranty review of this book in November if you care to read more about it.

The last black unicorn by Tiffany Haddish. The writing style was off-putting and made the whole book feel like a drag.

Ok so I do not like to talk much about the books I dislike as it bums me and today at work was not great so I am really not any better by jumping into this subject.
Oh well I'll leave it at this.
