No one tagged me really but I saw this being posted and decided I wanted to try it.

Here we go :)

1. Monstera: A book that you saw so much you ended up reading.
For this, I will select a series because I saw it everywhere when I first started to watch booktube
These are retellings of fairytales focused on specific Female leads of the stories we grew up reading

2. Cactus: A character you love despite their flaws
Dazen from Black Prism. He is a very flawed character; he needs to learn to communicate, change a bit how he treats women but still he has a certain something that makes you sympathize and cheer for him. Black prism is a fantasy book where the power is based on colors, each color grants a special ability to the user, bt this comes with a prize the more it is used the more damage it does to the mind, eventually you must die. The only person who has unlimited use of it is the prism, he can see and use all the colors in an unlimited way. There is only a prism, they live in a very odd schedule, but once two people had the potential to be prisms and a civil war took place, now years later the winner is still ruling as prism but his time is running out, prisms only live in intervals of 7 years, after becoming the prism they live to rule 7, 14 or 21 years. The 14th year is closing in and it looks like trouble is rising around the Prism.
It is a very interesting story especially the magic system.

3. Aloe Vera: Favourite comfort read
A book I go to when I am down or just not sure what to pick up next is  The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. This is the story of Blue a girl who comes from a family of psychics but she does not present any psychic abilities. She meets a group of boys from the posh school in town, boys she has sworn to despise simply because they are all the same spoiled rich kids. They embark on a quest to find a sleeping king who they believe will grant them a wish if woken up.

4. Succulent: Book trope you actually love
There are quiet a few troupes that if done well or if the story is compelling enough you end up loving can't deny there are a few of those around but for this one I'd recommend Tigana by Gavriel Guy Kay this is a fantasy story that has a few troupes that usually enjoy. We have the secret royalty, found family and the quest to defeat the big bad guy :p
Love it!

A tyrant came to their lands, crushed them and has been ruling over them for decades, he swore vengeance for the death of his son, he slaved the people, he cursed everyone to not remember them or their history. This is a standalone fantasy with all the classic tropes, read it if you haven't already.

5. Snake Plant: A book character that betrayed you
Someone who made me feel betrayed this is difficult, I really can't come up with an example. Does this mean I do no get attached easily or just that I need to expand my reading horizons?
Any examples greatly appreciated if you have them.

6. Spider Plant: A book you wish had a sequel or a series you want more of
One of the books that I always wanted more of was Host by Stephenie Meyer. I this story we see humanity be replaced by an alien race that likes to come to planets and take over the main life form, they for some reason like to continue to live like the natives in every way they can.

7. Peace Lily: A book with a beautiful cover
They do say don' judge a book by its cover but let's be honest, if you see a cover that calls your attention there's 90% of you picking it up at least to read the synopsis or just plain old buy it and find out later what's about. In my case, one of the last few impulse buys was a pinch of magic by Michelle Harrison. If I look at the cover it just looks heartwarming, you can tell its a children's book and it will whimsical. I have no idea what it is about, but it will be magical once I really get around to it.

8. English Ivy: Favourite fictional friendship group
We are in children's books so let's continue with another example of the same age range Call, is a young man who is taught to hate the school for magic by his father yet he chooses to go to it anyway. He is mistrustful, has a way of looking down on himself, and yet he befriends his two training mates. He needs to learn magic, find out the truth surrounding his existence, and find a way to not destroy the world. You can say there is a bit of parallel Harry Potter vibes, but I don't dislike that.

9. Areca Palm: A book that you think everyone should have on their shelves
Elantris by Brandon Sanderson, this is a book I recently read, it looks a bit intimidating yet it was great! For fantasy readers maybe this is a well known one but even if Fantasy is not what you mainly read I think its a great one, pick it up!
This follows a princess from from Teod, Sarene who comes to Areon's new capital in a marriage alliance is faced with Elantris the land of Gods, but since 10 years ago when the magic disappeared and the gods became monsters. There is political intrigue, a mystery of what happened to make the sudden change and war brewing in the midst of it all.

10. Chinese Evergreen: Favourite fictional world
Most stories have amazing world-building and you just love it, yet if you were thrown into it, bye-bye the life in most scenarios depends on fighting or magical skills and is very brutal, so no thank you. In my personal opinion, a favorite magical world would be one I would like to be in-that limits the choices greatly. I would like to be in the world of his dark material by Phillip Pullman. I really like the idea of having a companion even if they can't shapeshift once you become an adult but this world has Talking bears, witches, gypsy clans, it sounds really interesting and if you are not in the midst of the whole search for dust I think your life would be simple enough.
