Personal challenges for June

So apart from participating in the readathons and book clubs, I have my own challenges; let's take a look.

*One of my goals is to try to complete my ongoing series so trying to accomplish that this month we have:

-It includes
In Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, Dorothy and the Wizard visit the center of the Earth, where people are vegetables, glass houses grow, and Oz characters reappear. Eventually, they return to the Emerald City—but will they stay?
In The Road to Oz, Dorothy sets out on another adventure with some new friends like the Shaggy Man, Button-Bright, and Polychrome, and some old ones like the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman. Will they reach the Emerald City in time for Ozma’s birthday?
In The Emerald City of Oz, Dorothy, her Uncle Henry, and Aunt Em are going to live in the Emerald City. They set out of explore the land of Oz with the help of Dorothy’s friends, but must rush home again when they discover that the Nome King is busy gathering an army for an invasion of Oz.

-Also the next two installments of Walking dead Fear the hunters and life among them. This follows Rick as he tries to survive in a world where the zombie apocalypse is taking place. He has joined several groups of people and they are trying to reach Washington DC in a mission to save humankind.

-Saga vol 5 by Brian K. Vaughan the continuation of the story of the family as they continue to outrun those who are hunting them down.

*Also, we have to read two specific authors: Agatha Christie and Stephen King.

-The big four by Agatha Christie published in 1927this is the #5 on the Hercule Poirot series follows Poirot as he tries to solve a mysterious clue from a dying man, it's a single number 4. So he needs to use all his wits to stop possible the most dangerous world domination plan.

If I have time and its available in Scribd I'll try to get to the mystery of the blue train by Agatha Christie published in 1928 the #6 in the Hercule Poirot series. A mystery woman alone in a train transporting a precious jewel and suddenly the jewel is missing; enter the great Poirot to investigate the theft.

Firestarter by Stephen King published in 1980. This follows the story of a couple, when they were young they volunteered for an experiment, they get together and have a child. Their offspring has greater power, and the government want to use her a weapon.

Road work by Stephen King published in 1981 written initially under his Richard Bachman pseudonym. It looks like a western, but I am not sure what it is about but I did find it in Scribd.

*Post-apocalyptic books:
-Song for the unraveling earth by Brian Everso a collection of dark short stories.

-Swan song by Robert McCammon. In a wasteland born of rage and fear, populated by monstrous creatures and marauding armies, Earth’s last survivors have been drawn into a final battle between good and evil that will decide the fate of humanity. There’s Sister, who discovers a strange and transformative glass artifact in the destroyed Manhattan streets…Joshua Hutchins, the pro wrestler who takes refuge from the nuclear fallout at a Nebraska gas station…and Swan, a young girl possessing special powers, who travels alongside Josh to a Missouri town where healing and recovery can begin with her gifts.

*Latin/Spanish/Mexican authors
-Hasta que deje de llover (until it stops raining) by Javier Martinez

This is a boy meets boy love story. So yeah pretty fitting for Pride month.
